U.S. Army SBIR|STTR Invests Nearly $17.25M in Energy Resiliency

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Army Small Business Innovation Research and the Small Business Technology Transfer Program selected 20 innovative small businesses to help revolutionize energy resiliency. Each selected company will receive either a Phase I or Direct to Phase II contract, with the award pool totaling $17.25 million. The selectees are:

Hybrid Electric Powertrain, Power and Propulsion Systems (A244-P038)

Phase I: $250,000

Direct to Phase II: $2 million

About the Army SBIR|STTR Programs

The Army SBIR Program funds innovative solutions with Phase I and Phase II contracts. Throughout the contracting period, businesses receive insights from technical, acquisition and operational Army experts. The Army STTR Program also integrates small businesses into the Army space, partnering with universities and research institutions. To participate in the STTR Program, the small business must be the prime contractor and perform at least forty percent of the work, while the research partner performs at least thirty percent.
